Nook for KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD, Coat rack, Japan
Modular coat rack Nook can be adapted to meet its user’s needs and habitation. For one person a single module fits in a corner, for a couple a set of two can be placed along a wall and in a larger space as a set of four, it becomes freestanding.
Pile, Stools and Nook are part of the new collection KARIMOKU NEW STANDARD, directed by Teruhiro Yanagihara for established Nagoya based manufacturer Karimoku. With the aim of sustainability, the entire collection is made of thinning wood, a common waste product of forestry.
